Governmental Liability:
Charter Schools and the Government Claims Act - Study G-200

    ACR 49 (Evans), enacted as Resolution Chapter 98 of the Statutes of 2009, authorized the Commission to study and analyze the legal and policy implications of treating a charter school as a public entity for the purposes of Division 3.6, commencing with Section 810, of Title 1 of the Government Code ("Government Claims Act"). The Commission has issued a final report on the topic.
