Donative Transfer Restrictions

    Pursuant to AB 2034 (Spitzer), enacted as Chapter 216 of the Statutes of 2006, the Commission will study the operation and effectiveness of the provisions of the Probate Code restricting donative transfers to certain classes of individuals, and will recommend revisions and improvements to those provisions. The Commission's report on the matter is due by January 1, 2009.
