Statutes Made Obsolete by Trial Court Restructuring: Part 1
The Legislature has directed the Commission to recommend repeal of
statutes made obsolete by the Trial Court Employment Protection and
Governance Act, the Lockyer-Isenberg Trial Court Funding Act of 1997,
and the implementation of trial court unification. The Commission's recommendation on this subject was enacted by the Legislature. See below.
However, there are many
provisions that require further study due to their complexity or as a result
of the failure of stakeholders to agree on policy, or simply because
more time is needed to adequately address them. The Commission will
continue work in this area. See Part 2 of this study.
