The Law Revision Commission has issued a tentative recommendation on the following subject:

• Tentative Recommendation – Technical and Minor Substantive Statutory Corrections

This tentative recommendation includes technical corrections from several different code sections. Recipients of this notice may be particularly interested in the following:

• Note Requesting Comment on Cross-Reference – identifying section governing a petition to terminate authority granted under Probate Code Section 2356.5 (pp. 20-21)

• Correction of Incorrect Cross-Reference – definition of trafficking victim (explanation of proposed change on p. 2; legislative language for affected section on pp. 10-11)

• Correction of Obsolete Cross-References – secured perimeter residential care facility for the elderly (explanation of proposed changes on pp. 2-3; legislative language for affected sections on pp. 11-13, 18-20)

• Consistency in Treatment of Spouses and Domestic Partners – nomination and appointment of conservator (explanation of proposed changes on pp. 3-4; legislative language for affected sections on pp. 16-17)

• Revision of Numbering Consistent with Statutory Conventions – addition of paragraph numbers to Probate Code Section 1813 (explanation of proposed change on p. 4; legislative language for affected section on pp. 17-18)

• Deletion of Obsolete Provisions – Probate Code Section 2356.5(l) (explanation of proposed change on pp. 4-5; legislative language for affected section on pp. 18-20)

• Deletion of Obsolete Provisions – Chapter 4.2 of Part 2 of Division 9 of the Welfare and Institutions Code (explanation of proposed change on p. 5; legislative language for affected section on pp. 21-22)
